Book a Medical Ride in Atlanta

Booking takes about a minute. Give us the pickup address, the destination facility, and the appointment time, and we reply with a flat price and a confirmed pickup window. No account to create, no broker queue, no waiting on an insurance authorization.

What We Need From You

  • Who is traveling and a callback number, even if you are booking for a parent or patient
  • Pickup address with the entrance, unit, gate code or building desk that the driver needs
  • Destination and department, so the driver drops at the right door rather than the main entrance
  • Appointment or discharge time, so we can work backwards on traffic
  • Level of help: walks unaided, walks with a cane, wheelchair, or stretcher
  • Notes such as oxygen, bariatric chair, dementia, or a language preference

Not sure which service you need? Send the details anyway.

Book for a Parent, Patient, or Facility

Most bookings are made by someone other than the rider. Adult children book for a parent who no longer drives. Social workers and discharge planners book so a patient is not released to a rideshare. Case managers book standing dialysis and wound care schedules. Use your own number as the callback and we coordinate with the rider at pickup.

If you are arranging transport for a hospital release, tell us the discharge time the unit is working to. We hold wagons for discharge windows and can adjust if the hospital slips.

Same-Day and Urgent Bookings

Same-day requests are taken when a van is free. Call (470) 458-0410 for anything happening within a few hours, because the form is not monitored in real time. For planned appointments, booking a day or more ahead opens more pickup windows, especially for early morning dialysis and surgery check-ins.

Recurring Rides and Standing Schedules

Dialysis, chemotherapy, infusion, radiation, physical therapy and wound care all run on repeat. Choose recurring on the form and give us your treatment days. We lock the same pickup time each treatment day and keep the same driver where possible, so nobody has to rebook by phone three times a week.

Private Pay, Flat Quotes

Atlanta Ride Care is private pay only. You get a flat quote before the trip and pay directly, with an itemized receipt you can submit if your plan or attorney reimburses travel. We do not bill Medicare, Medicaid or insurance, and we do not work through Georgia Medicaid broker dispatch. That is why there is no authorization wait.

Common Questions

Booking Questions

How do I book medical transportation in Atlanta?

Use the booking form on this page or call (470) 458-0410. Send your name, phone, pickup and destination, and we call you back with a flat private-pay quote, usually the same hour.

How far in advance should I book a medical ride?

For hospital discharges and dialysis, as early as you can. Same-day and next-morning requests are often possible because we hold vans for urgent discharges, but the earlier you book the more pickup windows are open.

Do you need insurance authorization before booking?

No. Atlanta Ride Care is private pay only. You book directly with us, get a flat quote, and pay for the trip. There is no broker, no prior authorization, and no insurance phone tree.

What information do I need ready to book?

Patient name, a callback number, exact pickup address including unit or building entrance, the destination facility, appointment time, and the level of help needed: walking, wheelchair, or stretcher. Add oxygen, bariatric or dementia notes so the right vehicle is sent.

Can I book a recurring dialysis schedule?

Yes. Choose recurring on the form and list your treatment days. We lock a standing pickup time and the same driver where possible, so you are not rebooking three times a week.

Can someone else book on the patient behalf?

Yes, and it is common. Family members, social workers, discharge planners and case managers book for patients every day. Give us your number as the callback and the patient details for the pickup.

What if I need to cancel or change a booking?

Call (470) 458-0410 as soon as you know. Advance notice lets us release the van and fit someone else in, and it keeps our schedule honest for the next patient.

Do you serve my city?

We cover 30 metro Atlanta cities from Downtown and Buckhead out to Marietta, Alpharetta, Lawrenceville, McDonough and Douglasville. If you are just outside the list, call and we will tell you honestly whether we can take it.
